Pipe Maintenance

Keep pipe clean.

Never use metal poker or tamper or anything harder than glass bowl as poker or tamper.

Never tap bowl on hard surface while emptying ashes from bowl.

Never disassemble while in use or when pipe is warm.

Do not wedge or shift poker around while clearing holes in the bowl. If clogging occurs, use the oil plug to clean your pipe. (Typically clogging occurs when material has turned to ash and bowl is cashed)

Do not use if glass is broken or cracked.

It is recommend using pipe lighter with soft side mount flame.

-Cleaning

Do not use metal wire pipe cleaners, metal pokers, or anything as hard as or harder than glass to clean pipe. Wood skewers and cotton swabs are highly recommended for cleaning.

To disassemble pipe, hold bowl in one hand and pipe stem in the other. Make sure pipe stem is in dominant hand. With clockwise, or back and forth twisting motion, pull stem absolutely straight out of bowl’s shank. Repeat process with tip. NOTE: Do not pull apart using crooked breaking type motion. Pull stem straight out of pipe shank.

To clean borosilicate glass bowl, dampen a cotton swab with 97% alcohol and gently wipe clean. Do not soak wooden surfaces with alcohol. Wiping wood with a very damp alcohol swab when needed is okay.

Use wooden skewer to clean pipe stem and tip. Gently push skewer through borosilicate pipe stem then wipe skewer with rag.

If clogging occurs in the bowl, use oil plug located at the bottom of pipe to access the bottom of glass bowl and gently clean oil and ash using wooden skewer and cotton swab dampened with alcohol.

Avoid allowing sticky resin to reach the threads of the oil plug or the glass ends of pipe stems that interconnect your pipes parts. Keep clean.

Use microfiber cloth to gently polish exterior of pipe. Do not use cleaners or oils on your pipes finish.

Use your choice of pipe tip polishing compounds to polish ebonite tip as needed. Clay polish and bench polisher works best. Wood tips can be cleaned with very damp cloth and mild soap.

Do not use fire/flame/excessive heat to clean bowl. Use aforementioned recommend cleaning methods to clean pipe and parts.
